An arrangement/recomposition I made of Thomas Baker’s ‘Power of Love’ for Joshua William Gelb’s 2017 adaptation of America’s ‘First Musical,’ The Black Crook, which originally premiered in New York in 1866. Performed by Jessie Shelton, Lacy Rose, Lizzie Hagstedt, and myself at The Center for Fiction.

An art song trio I composed, titled ‘Romance Suite,’ commissioned by tenor Timothy Stoddard for his debut record, ‘Tarot,’ piano performed by Ellen Fast, released by Novana Records, with support from the Heinz Foundation. I wrote the lyrics for ‘Of Your Fair Courtesy,’ Jenny Xie wrote the lyrics for ‘Conductor,’ and Desiree Bailey wrote the lyrics of ‘Struisbaai.’ I met Jenny while working on my MFA in Poetry at NYU, and Desiree at the Norman Mailer Writers retreat.

‘Queen of the Museum,’ an aria I composed for Sophie Delphis, for my opera-in-development, Simone de Beauvoir at the Museum. Winner of the 2022 Sparks and Wiry Cries SongSlam.
